Winnipeg International Children's Festival - Kidsfest
Challenge:
Work with the team at Winnipeg International Children’s Festival to design the 2021 Kidsfest Program, website and social media.
Context:
The Winnipeg International Children’s Festival is a charitable organization dedicated to providing outstanding performances, circus arts and interactive activities that are educational, inspiring and accessible to children and families from diverse communities. Each year, we work with the Festival team to create a fun, easy-to read, vibrant and engaging program for the annual June Kidsfest. In 2021, COVID-19 restrictions forced the Festival to quickly adjust and hold Kidsfest as a DRIVE IN festival.
Result:
Loyal to their Festival mascot but in search of a more mature look, Kidfest organizers asked for a new design that would appeal to parents and day care workers, over children. The final design reinforced the brand colours but the use of type and images differed with a focus on the family friendly musical component.
