Sweet City Candy
Challenge:
Design a visual identity for a newly renamed candy store.
Context:
As one of The Forks Markets' original tenants, The Almond Tree opened in 1989. In 2016, when The Forks Market underwent renovations and opened The Common, The Almond Tree took the opportunity to change their name to Sweet City Candy and bring a fresh look to their retail operations.
Result:
We designed a visual identity for the store and its packaging that is as sweet as the candy itself. Bright, colourful and friendly, the typography design pays homage to the classic candy brands of the past while signalling the fun in store. The signage and packaging also received an update.
