The Plaza at The Forks
Challenge:
Create a visual identity for Canada's first and largest urban public skate plaza and bowl complex, The Plaza at The Forks.
Context:
The Forks, Winnipeg's number one tourist destinations is home to Canada's largest urban skatepark. Made possible through The James Burns Family Foundation and CentreVenture, The Plaza at The Forks was built at a cost of over two million dollars and is touted as being one of the best skateparks in North America.
Result:
Working closely with The Forks, we designed a visual identity for The Plaza that was youthful, clean and eye-catching. The three-colour design captured the movement and flow of Plaza and the Bowl Complex, a one of a kind 42,000 pound, 8500 square foot skateboarding bowl.
